Who was John Frum? Why are we (and by we I mean me) talking about him? How can I get join or start my own Cargo Cult? All questions one might ask as a result of participating in Burning Man; the annual choose your own adventure in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada. Over 61,000 “people” (lab rats?) gather with their art, hearts, and a mindset to willingly convert/adopt the 10 burning commandments principals. The event attracts and absorbs cultures from around the world, and has often been labeled an experiment in art and community building, an elaborate religious occultist ceremony, the biggest party on earth, an art and music festival, and even an important trip to a place where nevermind you can never un-use that lie.
